Blockchain games are on 🔥🔥 and Splinterlands is one of them. Splinterlands is one of my favorite games so far. If you are new to this game, read this. In this splinterlands review, I am going to share one of the gameplays and talk about some cards I used. Hope you enjoy it!
Table of Contents
Featured Card: Shadow Snitch
Shadow Snitch is a common death reach attacker with 4 mana cost. It has the reach ability from level 1, gets the affliction ability on level 6, and gets dodge ability on level 10. You can use max level 5 Shadow Snitch in the silver league therefore you cannot enjoy the affliction and dodge ability in the silver league. For level 5 Shadow Snitch, you need 60 cards.
The Battle

The battle was held in the silver league. The mana cap was 20 and the rulesets were ‘Holy Protection’ and ‘Healed Out’. I picked a dragon team with death splinter cards. The cards that I used were;
– Kretch Tallevor
– Djinn Chwala
– Shadow Snitch
– Furious Chicken
– Venari Bonesmith
– Chaos Agent
The enemy team was a death team with Thaddius Brood as a summoner. The cards that the opponent used were;
– Thaddius Brood
– Cursed Windeku
– Undead Badger
– Death Elemental
– Silent Sha-vi
My Team
Splinterlands
Kretch Tallevor is a very simple summoner with no ability. Cheaper Dragon summoners usually cost 4~5 mana, however Kretch only costs 3 mana. This saved mana may be used to place one more monster.
Splinterlands
Djinn Chwala is a good dragon tank with the thorn ability. It has high health and armor stat as well. Its thorn ability is useful in most of the battles. Because of its ability it can also be a good sneak attack blocker when placed in the back end.
Splinterlands
Shadow Snitch is a death reach attacker with, of course, the reach ability. It gets one more attack stat on level 4 and gets the affliction ability on level 6. However, you can use level 6 Shadow Snitch in and above the gold league. There are only 2 melee attackers that have the affliction ability — Shadow Snitch and Magma Troll.
Splinterlands
Furious Chicken is a very popular card because of its utility. It only has 1 speed and 1 health, but since it costs no mana it can really be put anywhere anytime. It can fill up an empty spot and take some damage. It is especially great when used with Mylor, because it can give the enemy one more thorns attack!
Splinterlands
Venari Bonesmith is one of my favorite death monsters. It is a magic attacker and has the life leech ability. Life leech is good enough but it gets the poison ability on level 4. The poison ability is very powerful and I prefer this to having one more magic attack. It costs 4 mana, so it can be used in the little league ruleset as well.
Splinterlands
Chaos Agent is a filler neutral monster with 1 mana cost. It has the similar utility as Creeping Ooze or Furious Chicken. It gets the dodge ability on level 2. It barely dodge on level 2 but it is still useful just as a filler monster.

Splinterlands
■ Tell us about your lineup. Explain why you put each card in that position and why they are a good fit with the monster.
I placed Djinn Chwala in the front end as a main tank. Shadow Snitch was in the second position as a reach attacker and to buy some time for Veanri Bonesmith to attack a few more times. Venari Bonesmith was my main attacker and it was protected and placed between Furious Chicken and Chaos Agent.
■ Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
I could have used Windeku instead of Chwala and put one more 2 mana cost card, but using Chwala was alright. I wouldn’t have used Shadow Snitch if its attack stat was 1, however I rented level 4 Snitch and with 2 attack stat it was fine for the team.
■ Do you like the monster? Why or why not?
I usually do not enjoy using reach attackers in my team, unless it is a fire splinter team. Shadow Snitch is not a really appealing monster to me in the silver league however I like that it gets the affliction and dodge ability in higher levels. I want to try it when I get into the gold league.
I’m really enjoying the game! All the beautiful cards, strategies and battles are fun and exciting. Are you also enjoying the game? Aren’t you playing the game yet? If you aren’t, come join us here. It is so much fun! You will love it!
In the next article, I will talk about other monsters and battles. Stay tuned! See ya.
