Blockchain games are on 🔥🔥 these days and Splinterlands is one of them. Splinterlands is one of my favorite games so far. If you are new to this game, read this. In this splinterlands review, I am going to share one of the gameplays and talk about some cards I used. Hope you enjoy it!

Featured Card: Animated Corpse
Splinterlands
Animated Corpse is a common death monster. It is a 4 cost melee attacker and it gets the void ability on level 4. Max level 5 Animated Corpse is playable in the silver league, so you can use the void ability. There are not many monsters with the void ability that costs less than 4 mana. Therefore, it is often useful in the little league ruleset.
The Battle

The battle was held in the silver league. The mana cap was 15 and the rulesets were ‘Unprotected’ and ‘Explosive Weaponry’. I picked a dragon team. The cards that I used were;
– Kretch Tallvor
– Animated Corpse
– Undead Priest
– Naga Assassin
– Venari Bonesmith
– Furious Chicken
The enemy team was a fire team with Efreet Elder. The cards that the opponent used were;
– Malric Inferno
– Cerberus
– Kobold Miner
– Efreet Elder
My Team
Splinterlands
Kretch Tallevor is a very simple summoner with no ability. Cheaper Dragon summoners usually cost 4~5 mana, however Kretch only costs 3 mana. This saved mana can may be used to place one more monster.
Splinterlands
Animated Corpse is a melee attacker with only 4 mana cost. 2 attack and 6 health on level 1 is quite nice, and it gets the void ability on level 4. In normal battles, there are a lot of better tanks than Animated Corpse, however it can be useful in the little league ruleset.
Splinterlands
Undead Priest is a similar monster to Goblin Shaman but with one less mana cost. It has the weaken ability which can be helpful in many situations. I often use it as a supporter and also as a snipe attack blocker.
Splinterlands
Naga Assassin is an interesting ranged attacker. It only costs 2 mana so it can be used in many different circumstances. It has high speed and the backfire ability. It doesn’t evade attacks all the time, but when it does, it gets quite fun and helpful for a team. It only has 2 health, but while leveling up, it gets more health.
Splinterlands
Venari Bonesmith is one of my favorite death monsters. It is a magic attacker and has the life leech ability. Life leech is good enough but it gets the poison ability on level 4. The poison ability is very powerful and I prefer this to having one more magic attack. It costs 4 mana, so it can be used in the little league ruleset as well.
Splinterlands
Furious Chicken is a very popular card because of its utility. It only has 1 speed and 1 health, but since it costs no mana it can really be put anywhere anytime. It can fill up an empty spot and take some damage. It is especially great when used with Mylor, because it can give the enemy one more thorns attack!

■ Tell us about your lineup. Explain why you put each card in that position and why they are a good fit with the monster.
People like to use magic team in the explosive ruleset, so I picked Animated Corpse as my tank. Undead Priest was in the second position as a supporter and a sub tank. My main attackers were Naga Assassin and Venari Bonesmith. Naga Assassin was in front of Bonesmith to give it more time to leech some health with its life leech ability. Furious Chicken is in the backend to protect the attackers from possible enemy sneak attackers.
■ Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
I expected the enemy would bring more magic attackers but there was only one. However, because of the void ability of Animated Corpse, it took 0 damage from Efreet Elder. While holding attacks, my attackers finished off other enemy monsters. It got to a one on one battle between Bonesmith and Efreet Elder, and my Bonesmith eventually won the fight.
■ Do you like the monster? Why or why not?
I bought Animated Corpse solely because of its void ability. It is definitely not one of the good-looking monsters, and I don’t really like zombies. But it is useful to my team for sure. Maybe I should give some more love to a useful zombie.
I’m really enjoying the game! All the beautiful cards, strategies and battles are fun and exciting. Are you also enjoying the game? Aren’t you playing the game yet? If you aren’t, come join us here. It is so much fun! You will love it!
In the next article, I will talk about other monsters and battles. Stay tuned! See ya.
